Pape Teigne landed in Dakar at 12 years old and began painting landscapes. In 1995 he completed his training at Beaux arts de Dakar with a thesis on set-design, followed by several apprenticeships and productions in set design. Today painting and set design are the two passions he is attempting to reconcile. Since 1992, he has participated in several international exhibitions, such as the Biennale de Dakar in 1992, L'Afrique face au defi mondial de l'an 2000, and Arts recup. He currently works in the Design Department at Radio Television Senegalais and collobrates with the Diaxaso Company in Paris.
